It’s not at all surprising if a ‘boring old book’ isn’t their go-to for Quiet Time. The humble book has probably never had to compete with quite so many other pasttimes!

Because we believe that there aren’t good readers and bad readers. That there aren’t kids who love reading and kids who don’t. We believe that the fault is not with the kid. It’s with the book! More specifically, with the choice of book. We believe that the right book for the right child at the right time can change everything. And we know that we can find it for you in our children’s bookshop. Moreover, we know we can help ignite a passion for reading in your child.
Once upon a time, I sat at my kitchen table, scratching my head, wondering how to help my children’s school raise money for the PTA. It was that year where Covid stopped play and none of the real-life fairs and school socials could take place. It was that time when the kids were all at home as schools had closed. Hell! Covid even closed down the bookshops!
But, it wasn’t all bad. Every cloud has a silver lining and all that. Because I decided to set up a virtual children’s bookshop! With all profits going to the PTA. So I carefully sourced great books for kids and delivered them direct to their door. And, do you know what? It was a roaring success! The parents loved it! The children loved it! And I really loved it. And that, my friends, was how The Little Bookstall was born. A literary Lockdown Baby!
